One more thing to be thankful for.

I just got a call from Rich and usually a call from him during the day makes me a little nervous. He tries to call when something big happens in Vegas because I always get a call from someone asking me how he is when there is a big fire and I usually don't know anything about it because we don't like in Vegas anymore. There was another small plane crash. He had to go in after the fire was out and look for people. None, thank goodness. But I am so thankful for Rich, he so is willing to help people. He is fortunate to have a job he LOVES and is good at it. I am ALWAYS so glad when he gets home from work, safe. I pray for him everyday to come home safe to us and unharmed.
Rich, thanks for all that you do.

I was just thinking.....

I was just reading a friend of mines blog on how thankful she is for her many blessings and her family and it had me thinking how thankful I am.
I am truly blessed with a husband that will do ANYTHING to support his family so we do not have to go without.
I am truly blessed with a beautiful home to cover our heads in heat and cold.
I am blessed with children that I just want to squeeze and not let go all the time because they love me and I love them unconditionally.
We have family that will help us ANYTIME we might need them.
I am blessed with so many friends that care about me and my needs that I could call any time day or night to just chat or to cry on their shoulder.
We are truly blessed to have all 6 of us healthy and happy.
I feel truly blessed that my Father in Heaven listens to me and helps me when I need Him.
I am blessed that Rich and I have worked so hard TOGETHER to get where we are today, it has been a lot of work and a lot of tears but we have made a GREAT life for ourselves.
I have so much more to be thankful for but I will save that for another post.

I am in LOVE!!!!!!

Look what I just got...................... I am in love. I just bought these yesterday and look aren't they lovely!!!! I went all over town and could not find any shoes in my size. I won't go into what size I wear but I could not find any. Well, I finally went over to Dillards and LOOK. I asked the sales lady IF she had any shoes in my size and she brought back 7 boxes!!! I wasn't so excited when I looked inside all those boxes because when you wear the size shoe that I do they sure aren't cute...........until I tried on this. I was in heaven. I thought the sales lady said they were on sale, well so such luck. They were pretty expensive, and I feel guilty but as soon as I put them on AHHH its so worth it!!! I have a friend of mine that loves tennis shoes and I never have, I always had just one pair for emergencys LOL LOL you know the ocassional walk or off-roading adventure. But now if I could have a pair this comfy every day of the week I would!! I finally get why she likes them so much. So today I just had to wear them and walk around the house and what do you think happened?? Lane..............Mom, why do have your shoes on? Where are you going? Why did you buy those? on and on and on.............hmmmmm....someone help me!!! LOL

Rich and I joined the gym about a month ago and I have been wearing a pair of shoes I was walking in for almost 2 years, my feet and ankles were hurting after every time I went to the gym. So after going to the gym I have lost only 3 pounds but almost 5 inches!!! Not where I wanted but 5 inches anyways. An inch in each arm and each thigh. A half inch in my waist and 7/8 of an inch in my hips!!! I would love to looose another 5 inches before my birthday so I am going to try and work out 5 days a week instead of 3. Wish me luck!!!

I just wanted to show the new addition to my family. Now what to name them. After how expensive they were they need a name!!

Why, why, why.................

Look at this face.................he is cute but why did I ever want him to speak???

Lane has been full of the why's. Every time I tell him to do something he asks why.

Lane, wash your hands after you go to the bathroom...........why?

Lane, put your Legos away............why?

Lane, time for dinner..............why?

Lane, put on your shoes............why?

So the other day I thought I would surprise the kids and make homemade blueberry muffins. So I get Lane ready to go to the store . It goes something like this..............

me: Lets get your shoes on and go to the store.

Lane: Why?

me: We need to get some blueberries and buttermilk.

Lane: Why?

me: To make blueberry muffins

Lane: Why?

me: So when the kids get home you can have a treat.

Lane: Why?

me: I don't know get your shoes on. (eye roll)

So we go to the store where he is distracted. AND on the way home..................

Lane: Where are we going?

me: home.

Lane: Why?

me: (eye roll) to make blueberry muffins.

Lane: Why?

Do you see where this is going?.......................so I finally snap and tell him he knows all the answers to all the questions and PLEASE stop asking me WHY!!!! and tell him he is giving me a headache.............

Lane: Why are you mad?........Why are you yelling at me?.............Why do you have a headache?

ARHHHH!!!! I wanted to scream!!!!!

Most of you know Lane was a little delayed because of a ton of ear infections. Well not anymore!!!! Man can this kid talk!!!!

And like I said why oh why did I ever teach this kid how to talk...................Hmmmm

Ahhh Papa...........Happy Birthday!!!!

This is my mom's husband and the best Papa in the world. He came into our family's life just when we needed him. I am so happy my mom has a man to spend the rest of her life with that she loves. And boy does he keep her busy!!! They are never in town. But I know she loves it.
This is a picture of Jim a couple of weekends ago. He sat down for 10 minutes and he was OUT!! See, now that I know how to blog don't do anything around me that you don't want shown. He HE !!
My kids just love Papa. They aren't afraid of that deep voice or when he tries correcting them, they just smile. When I was younger that voice made me a little nervous, not them!!
Every time I cut his hair it's ALWAYS a game to find how I get paid (which I don't want) sometimes I don't find the money till the next time I do his hair. Or I go to get in the truck and it is FULL of gas. I need to start going there with a empty tank!! LOL
Jim, Rich is working on your present the next time you come down with the Rhino you get a new bumper!!!!

Oh Ellie.......

Well, if you didn't get the call Ellie lost her first tooth. And not her bottom tooth but her top tooth. She looks pretty cute. She bumped them a month ago and they were lose and she was so excited she kept wiggling them thinking the tooth fairy was going to come. But I had to tell her that the tooth fairy doesn't come when you pull a tooth and it's not ready. I think I heard that somewhere (wink)...........

I am sure my family remembers how horrified I was when I was little that nobody and I mean NOBODY could touch my teeth when they were lose. But now I seem to be the only one who can touch my kids teeth when they are loose. I get so nervous pulling their teeth like it is my own. EEKK!! But I am the official teeth puller in our house because it doesn't seem to fail when there is a tooth that needs to come out Rich is at work!!!

I had to take a picture of this, and I mean Ellie made me!! LOL She got all dressed up and said I'mmm baaack!!!! Ellie used to live in her dress-ups. I miss those days. You never knew who she was going to be for the day. Snow White, Cinderella, Barbie or just hang out in her swim suit all day.

Oh and she has survived riding her bike to school only Friday Alan came home with no Ellie, saying she was with Lisa and then Lisa came home with no Ellie saying she was with Alan...........Hmmm this whole bike riding thing is going to give me gray hair.

All right I told you I would let her by the end of the week ride her bike to school...............and there she goes!!!!! Ellie was so happy to ride her bike to school today. I gave Lisa and Alan the biggest lecture before they went.........watch your sister, you two are older, keep her between the two of you stay on the side walk..................so what do you think happened even right in front of me..................Alan and Lisa were OFF!!!!! Man was I upset!!!! I stood there in front of the house with my mouth open. Lisa PROMISED she would watch her and keep her in front of her.............thats what I get!!!! So now I wait till after school to see if my daughter (lil' Ellie) comes home from either Elementary school or the Intermediate school, Huh. I see a VERY big lecture coming again AND Alan and Lisa getting a ride to school tomorrow. OHHH man do they hate that!!! Alan would much rather have a spankin than get a ride to school. He HE !!! I will keep you posted on the outcome. Ellie will tell me ALLLL about it.(wink)

We went back to pick blackberries Saturday and look what I made!!

Blackberry freezer jam!!!! Man is it good. There are two jars missing because I had to bribe Lisa's piano teacher with one. I forgot about piano last week .............and my Relief Society president came over and I just think the world of her so I gave her a jar also. You have to be pretty special to get my jam OR come and stay with us (wink, wink).

Oh and Rich got a bid he is staying on the same platoon and a new station. He is so relieved and so am I because I was so worried about all the holidays coming. He finally has Christmas and Thanksgiving and the rest our birthdays off (and with mine being a BIG birthday this year).............we are so happy.
