Tawnee this is for YOU!!!

I have been asked a few times for the directions to my silhouettes that I did of my kids on my last post so I am going to try and explain ...................

1. I took close ups of my children from the side.
You can either have them developed or I just printed mine on the computer and they just happened to come out 8X10 wooo hoooo just what I wanted!!! (you ALL know if I use the computer and something turns out the way I wanted, it was TOTALLY an accident) LOL
2. I then took my handy Exacto (favorite tool) on a piece of glass and cut out(traced) their profile
3. On some of the directions I have people colored them with either paint or a Sharpie black but since I had a black frame already I kept mine white and just put them in my frame.

Now is that not EASY!!!
I can't believe how fast it was to cut out . It was done in no time. I love them and not one of my kids said anything about Lane's head being big but...........................Rich!!! LOL LOL
I still have not yet found a place for it. I really am thinking about putting each one in their own frame and matting it with white and coloring their silhouette black but for now I will keep it this way.
If anyone has any questions please e-mail me. I am hoping my explaination was OK............
Whenn it is up I blog a picture!!!

Look what I did!!

I just made these silhouettes!! I am so excited. I saw this on a site (check out one the sites to the right) I can't wait for the kids to get home to see it they are going to be so excited!!! I can bet you a hundred dollars they are ALL going to say Lane has a big head!!! Well honestly............. he does, because the last time I had him at the doctor the nurse had to measure his head twice because she though she did it wrong.
Now I have to find just the right place for it!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Well, we went to Vegas for Valentines Day for my sweet nephews first birthday. Ohh that face!!!!Sorry about the lighting in this picture I just got my new lense (Melissa 50mm 1.4!!!)and this is the second picture with it so I am still learning with this lense and all the setting on my camera (you will see as this post goes on....sorry :) ) This was the first picture.................look at THIS face........MY Valentine!!!!

This is the top of the piano...........not sure I like it but I just wanted to show off my Valentine "stuff" before i take it all down..........hmmm.......I Love Valentines day it will make me sad to take it down. The blocks that say I love you, I randomly, through out the year, put them in one of the kids rooms just so they remember "I love them" (hmmm, not sure about lighting in this one)

This is my VERY favorite piece of furniture in my living room. I like to change it and I mess with it all the time. Rich got me the digital frame for Christmas and I am not sure I like it there. The XL mirror in the back(craig list, my new fav.) used to be on the wall but I didn't like it there so I leaned it up against the wall and I like it , but not one person in the house does!! Oh well you know it will stay!! LOL LOL (see the Twilight series under the small clock) awww........Edward.........

This is my "new"favorite thing Milk Glass I love it my mom gave me the glasses and I have loved these. I am now collecting pieces.See the little fluted dish with the heart in it, that is my new piece!!!I picked it up yesterday in Cedar at a really cute antique shop.

And this CUTIE!!! I got there too!!! Don't you just LOVE him!!! Rich doesn't get it, but he had to go home with me!!! This is a niche by my entry I like to change not so often, this took me a while to do because I just couldn't find just the right thing but now I really like it . It looks so girlie!!

This is also by my entry I LOVE, LOVE this wall. One day on a off-road adventure there just happened to be a yard sale and I saw this frame (it is a large coffee table top) and I took it home and gave it a little TLC and some paint and I hang "stuff" in it!!

Right in front of the "love" sign is a pair of kissing angels. I made these at a Super Saturday a couple of years ago and I have such good memories of them. My mom used to have a pair of them her grand mother made and used to like to just stare at them so when I had the chance to make my own................Everyone is going to have to bear with me for a while, I am in a photography class and I am learning all over to use my camera and ALL the settings but as you can see, I better read over ALL my paper work better (LOL), I haven't put much effort into it but things are going to be a little slow this week so I am going to put a 110% into my class. (hopefully, LOL )

I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day with their Valentine.

Another off-roading adventure

Rich has been wanting to go off-roading for a while now and with my new calling it has been a while since we have gone, but, I keep telling him that is why there are 2 days in the weekend!! LOL
We took the kids to a place out of Hurricane and went shooting and then to Kolob to shoot some more. The kids have a ball, I get to shoot pictures, Rich, Alan and Lisa get to actually shoot guns and Lane and Ellie find sticks and shoot whatever they find.

Here is one of Alan setting up the "shooting gallery"

Look at this one, the jacket HAD to come off for more accurate shooting!!I took a couple of shots of Rich I was just playing with angles and different modes on my camera I am in this AWESOME class by Karen Russell for photgraphy!!! I just need to complete my assignments........I LOVE this one of the three of them!!!Lisa is a really good shot, I am so proud of her!!!

AHHH my guys!!!! Alan is starting hunter safety in a couple of weeks so let me tell you he has some BIG plans (well, so does his dad) He He
Little Miss Ellie found this old lawn mower and she was just checking it out........... hmm just like her dad...........This place we stopped had a ton of clay pigeons that had not been shot so Rich and Alan just had to shoot them..........OOPs no dumping I think a few people didn't read the sign.............we found a couple of little treasures...........This is on the way out of Hurricane it was really close to Grafton, nice scenery........
OK, Rich wanted a picture of these deer ............

I saw this bridge and thought it would be a perfect photo opportunity but it needs photoshop bad!! LOL I was thinking black and whiteThis stream was the end of our day in Kolob, I really like streams if you keep track of my blog.Well, our family had one more outing to report in Utah. We LOVE to check out the area whenever we get a chance. There are so many nice places around here. If anyone wants to come with us we have quite a few places to share.(Oh, and a guest room) (wink)

I hope everyone is well

And there he goes..............

Look at my little guy!!!! He is our OLDEST child to finally ride without training wheels!!! Everyone else was 3 or 3 and a half but if you know Lane he does EVERYTHING at his own pace............But you have to notice the "sticks" where the training wheels used to go. A couple of months ago he asked Rich to take off the wheels but keep the "sticks" so Rich did and he wouldn't ride it, but wanted the "sticks" still on so, we waited.............

Sooo.............yesterday was the "Day" that he was going to ride his bike and Rich was allowed to take the "stick" off!!! And look at him now!!!

Now, Rich told me that the reason he wanted to ride his bike without the "stick' on is because he has been asking Rich if he can ride the little 50 sooo.......... Rich told him not until he can ride his bike without training wheels..............Hmmm.......... I think I see Kennedi getting a 4 wheeler in her very near future.
