A Day off with the Family!!!

What a great day we had!!!! Rich had the day off so we went and did a little off roading.

Here I am throwing clay pigeons for Alan. And man did he do great!!!

I had to show this one....check out his face waiting for me to throw.......it took a while to get the hang of throwing those stupid things again, its been a while!!! Boy, is my arm sore today.....

See this cutie ......... he has not been doing his homework and and getting into trouble at school and I told himlast time I got a call or e-mail from school I was spending the week with him at school.

Well, what do you think happened last week...............I got two phone calls from school. So what do you think I get to do this week.........yup you got it right...I get to go to school again and be a sixth grader!!!!

Let me tell you I went yesterday and I liked sixth grade the first time.

And Alan didn't find out till right before school started that I was spending some time with him (wink). Let's just say it didn't go over very well. LOL

Rich is going today and spending the day. He was so worried Rich was going to embarras him. And he should be!!!! LOL

I think we have gotten his attention and I don't think I am going to be getting anymore phone calls again or least till next year ;)

Rich and I take going to school, paying attention and having respect for your teacher very serious. I think he will now or least try a little harder. He is such a good boy and just likes to socialize a little too much. He has to sit in the front of the class in every class in front of the teachers desk. Ummm, hello wouldn' you get a clue that maybe you should chill out a bit.......

I am so hoping I don't have to do that again. My butt hurts. I did see some interesting stuff though..... LOL

Valentine "stuff"

Happy Valentine's Day. I know I am a day late but I was in horrible pain yesterday from my car accident (in December) that i couldn't sit here and blog. So here are a few picture......well........ a lot of pictures of my house with Valentine's day decorations. I LOVE Valentine decorations, not so hip on Valentines's day but LOVE to decorate for it. Again blog not working so well so this is not a Valentine decoration but a GREAT bargain at a thrift store here for $3.00.......she's so sweet huh.....the ladies at the store didn't know where I got her,they wanted her, but I did leave her brother there which everytime I look at this picture I kick myself for leaving him there......

And well, another picture of NOT Valentine decorations just the top of my armoire in my living room. I just love this thing. My first big purchase for this house was the rabbit weathervane. Rich was mad that I bought this because it was VERY expensive but.....I had to have it and look how cute she looks with her new bling around her neck. He was so mad that i bought this that he wouldn't even help me put her together.....thats Ok I managed and guess what everytime he watches TV she is there watching him!!! LOL

Ok, one more "plain picture" I just re-did the top of these shelves in my living room because.......of the awesome family pictures we just had taken. I finally got out my old vintage cameras to set out and I really like this.(this is the opposite wall of my armoire)

Now, here we go as you enter my home this is a wreath I made for my front door. I am having such a hard time decorting my door, now that Rich painted it red. But I made this work!!! It is a book pages. I punched out squares and stabbed them into the styrofoam wreath. opps... after I punched out the square book pages I inked the sides with red ink. Isn't she lovely....;)

This a niche I have and like to change this up a little every once in a while.

These are two pillows I made from Target after Christmas sale. They are napkins. And the little pillow is a pillow I won off a blog last year.

And just a little "love" here......notice my milk glass collection......thats true LOVE......

My cute love bird salt and pepper shakers. I bought those pots years ago from Target after Valentine's Day for $1.25 and I kept forgetting to use them, so this year I finally did.

Some more love and a different picture of my book "thing" I made.

Oh and this cutie pa tuttie!!!! I fell in LOVE with this heart topiary!!!! I liked it so much I went and bought another one so when this one gets dirty or dusty or when a child of mine breaks it I have back up!!! LOL

Remember this $5.00 table. This is how I decorated it for Valentine's day.So sorry the lighting was bad in this....

A little pink & silver to go on my $5.00 fireplace!!! My girlfriend won't believe this!!! She knows I am NOT a pink girl.

OK, one more "thing" I just HAD to have!!!! Don't you just LOVE it!!! It is a white feather tree. It was pretty expensive and Rich rolled his eyes when I showed him I HAD to have this but just think....I can use it for Christmas,Valentine's Day, Easter or whenever. I wanted to buy another one of these too but I was pushing it just buying this one (wink) LOL

Here is a little project I did for the Primary teachers at church. They are candy canes I made into suckers. I think the teachers liked them and my kids thought they were pretty great. But again the order of the picture is wrong. I just can not seem to understand what has happened to my blog. I got this ideas from another blogger.

OK, that is it for Valentine pictures. I am going to be so sad taking them down. I love to see all the extra red in my house it makes me happy. But, now it is time for some spring/Easter decorations!!!!

Just about me....

Well where to start. Here is a picture i took that I really like until I looked at it again and I saw my reflection in this dish....hmmmm
this is a little bargain I found at a little thrift shop here in town.



So, I needed to get away for a few days( 4 to be exact). So where else do I go but Vegas to stay with my brother. I just want to thank him and his family for taking me in, on such short notice and with a busy work week and just taking good care of me and making me laugh.
You have the best family!!! I really need it the time away Thank you........

Here is my little neice and nephew with some popcorn from their mom when she got home from work. I KNOW she wasn't expecting THAT!!! So thanks for the laugh!!!

Here is a little something I made before I left. Do you like it? It is a book I folded all the pages in half and put a finial on top and added a few embellishments a WALA a new decoration for my home!!!

I want to thank my friends for being concerned for me while I was gone. I'm alright and working on me. .....

Well,as you can see the pictures are not in the correct order and I wish I could figure out what has happened since having my computer worked on but at least my computer is working!!!
