A day at the fire station............

Well, it was a very nice Promotion Ceremony and since Rich was forced to work overtime that day the kids and I took dinner and spent some time at the fire station. Rich got to take Alan and Ellie from the ceremony to the fire station in the fire truck with the "guys" I wish I had a picture of that it was priceless. They both had headphones on and looked very serious like they were going on a call.

Rich took the kids on a little drive around the block and I had the wrong lense on to capture all of them in the truck. This truck is the one that has a big bucket on front, it's huge. You can kind of see Lisa in the back window. Ellie got lucky and got the front! I am not sure how that happened!! LOL

I HAD to take a pic of this, I had the scooter in the back of the truck so Lane was scooting away in the garage. LOL

Rich sitting in the driving seat!!! (so sorry about the lighting in these pictures I am STILL practicing!!)

Miss Ellie posing!!! (wink)

If you knew my husband, he is ALWAYS leaning or looking for a seat, he is NOT a standing kind of guy so I got a quick shot of him leaning.....

twice..........................

Lane was just a little excited to climb all over the fire truck!!! Does it show? LOL

The little ones...............

The big ones (thats what Rich and I call the two and two)

Alan NOT wanting his picture taken.

We had such a nice day it was hard saying goodbye for another day.(he is working three 24 hour shifts in a row)
I even got to pin Rich's new badge on him at the ceremony!!! I am hoping for a picture to post.
If anyone wants a tour let me know, I can hook you up! (wink)
Much love,Sherrie

This is my punkin.....

This is my very handsome husband!!! We are going to Vegas tomorrow for Rich's promotion ceremony, so he had to try on his new uniform and man, oh man if you know what a man in a uniform does to me (well, my husband in a uniform) I had to shoot a few pics of him. He looks so handsome. He is going to kill me for this!! LOL

He tried for so long to be a fireman, it was a dream come true when he finallly made it. I am so proud of him and this picture makes my heart fill with love for him even more. There are not too many people out there that have a job they love and like going to work to help complete strangers.

I love ya punkin, thanks for all you do!!!

much love, Sherrie XOXOOOXXX

A family day....

We had another family adventure once again. Rich wanted to take the kids on a little outing and then go shooting so here are a few pics.......

This is at Red Cliffs.....my classes are working.......don't you think................... (another 'new' lense)

We bought a couple of boxes of clay pigeons to shoot and here is Alan trying to shot them......

I told him IF he didn't shoot JUST one he was going to have to buy a new box and what do you think he did after I threw them for an hour he hit two!!! He says more but I am not so sure...

I tried shooting a few and it is a lot of fun. My only problem is the noise. But I figured it out and taught Alan where to aim and look. He DID IT!!!
Rich has issues with teaching people new things..... thats all I am going to say about that (wink)

Me just shooting junk (I asked Rich to hold my camera and look what I found)

Look what Lisa found, nice junk huh?? the little ones loved this thing

Miss Ellie found a little dirt and just wanted to play with her puppies....

Lane just sitting in the back of the truck because he didn't want to get shot, like we would shoot him.............(wink) lol lol

Rich shooting junk........

I like this picture with the city in the background

Here is another family outing, we are just waiting for some visitors to take with us and don't forget we have a guest room.....

We had dessert BEFORE dinner!!!!!

We had a bad morning this morning and I thought I would be a good mom and let the kids have dessert BEFORE dinner. I made some yummy cupcakes!!! LOOK............(well the frosting was a "new" recipe so it was a little ...........thick,but good)

I set the table before the kids got home from school so they wouldn't have to.
(which I was thanked for!!!)

Then......... I let them dig in!!!!!!!

Then.....................

I told them APRIL FOOLS!!!!!!! BAAAA HAAAAA HE HE!!!!!!

It was meatloaf with mashed potatoes frosting!!!!

I LOVE the look on Lisa's face, she wasn't too happy about this for a second!!!

Alan and Ellie didn't care they thought it was funny.....

I have never played a joke on anybody ever because I don't like then done to me. But, I saw this ideas from a fellow blogger ( Ucreate) look to the right and I thought this would really work. My kids LOVE treats and as soon as they saw them after school they wanted them but......I made them wait till after Lisa had piano and I told them they could have then AFTER dinner. But after I took a few pictures I told them " Well, lets have dessert BEFORE dinner!!" Man I was the best mom in the world for a few seconds!!! He HE

Like I tell all my friends, this is one more thing for them to talk about in counseling when they get older!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their April Fools Day!!!

Too bad Rich was at work he would have loved to have been here.

much love, Sherrie ;)

Alan's back & look what we did for spring break.

Here is Lane doing a donut!!! It was so funny he kept going round and round!!! Kicking up dirt and rocks....

Here is Rich I was messing around with my camera and the settings, this was an awesome corner, I got some pictures with him blurry and the dirt kicked up it was fun. And he didn't mind going around and around.(thanks Rich)

Alan with his serious face (well, trying) (wink)when I was off taking pictures the girls found this jump.....................and did it over and over and over.........And then Lane just HAD to do it too.....

And he got a little air!!!! (wink)

Here are the" big boys" jumping............

Ellie earned this baby, so I had to take a couple of pictures....look at the two of them looking into each others eyes, He He, she was so happy and in love with her..

she sure is talented in the burping department, she is awaiting the arrival of another cousin and is trying to get in her practice. (again, sorry about the coloring, practice, practice!!! LOL)

So yesterday, Rich has been wanting to take the Rhino and the 4-wheeler on a trip together ALL of us,well, that is the only reason he wanted to get the Rhino (wink) so we ALL can ride together..hmmmm I think we have had that thing for two years and this is our first trip all 6 of us...hmmmmm

It was so much fun but dirty, just look at Ellie she rode all day on the back of the 4-wheeler with Rich every time we stopped Ellie had dirt in her teeth she ALWAYS has a smile, even riding with Rich because if any of you have ever ridden with Rich you would NOT be smiling!!! LOL

Yup, its not the color off in this picture, she is so dusty.....but as long as she was having fun huh??

Like my cowgirl look? I have to keep the sun off my face you know!!! LOL And man was it cold...

I have to brag just a second look at the back roll cage Rich built and ice chest holder thingy nice huh?? He's the best!!!

We're ALL missing Alan......

Well, Alan got to go to California with a neighbor's family on Wednesday and we all miss him.

Last night at dinner Lisa said our family wasn't complete because he wasn't here. She really misses him. It took me a second to realize she was so right!!! I was feeling a little down and I couldn't figure it out and that was it. He is such a great boy and helps out around here so much. His best-buddy (Lane) misses him a lot too. Oh and Ellie. So tomorrow night he gets back and I can't wait to hug him so hard!!! Rich and I have been talking about him and the way he is and how much people tell us what a good boy he is. It is so hard to believe he is going to be 12 in a few months. He has Rich's sence of humor and some of his dare-devil abilities. He is sensitive and wants to make people happy like me.
I am just hoping with the last few days that he is using all the manners we try to drill into him daily that he hates for us to remind him of!! LOL
Like always say thank you, don't ask for anything, and don't get too silly.
Oh and he just got his hunter safety license in the mail he is going to be so,so happy!!! Well and so will Papa,Uncle Andy and Rich!!!
I just can't wait for him to read this and be surprised that he was missed so much.
We LOVE you buddy!!!
Much Love.
Sherrie (mom)
