Just a nice day outside...

Look at my little friend ....I was on our deck taking pictures (you will see them in this post) of my family and I made a little friend....I just happened to look over and this little crazy looking bird who looks a little.....rough ,came to see me AND I have my zoom lense on so I am so surprised this even turned out. He just sat and churped at me and I talked to him, what a little QT!

We (well, Rich) planted a garden. This is our first garden so we are so surprised anything is growing. It seems like everything grows every day. I am going to have to post more pictures soon you are not going to believe how big all out veggies are getting.

Rich is letting the little ones help plant more veggies, Rich was being so patient with Lane....


Oh, can't resist a picture of this one....

That is our plum tree in the garden. Not too sure what happened to it this year though. Last year we got so many plums I had to pick off a lot because it was so top heavy it was leaning and I was afraid we would lose it.

They are planting, sunflowers, watermelon, corn and Italian parsley.

Our tomato plants are not doing so well, as you can see....

I kept hearing Rich tell him just one seed....whooo thats too many and then....oh well its too late now.....

We have tomatoes, purple cabbage (a lot) green onions, 1jalapeno (sp), 1 cantelope (long story), strawberries (not doing so well either) zuccini, spinach,lettuce, broccoli (my fav) and I am sure I am missing something but I didn't think we planted that much but now that I typed it out we (Rich) planted a lot. I did pick weeds just the other day though....

I'll keep you updated on how the garden is going. We didn't (Rich) have the best of luck at first I kept telling him the garden was dry.....and he kept telling me the dirt was drying......well who do you think was right.......ME!!!! LOL LOL The sprinklers in the garden were broken!!! So everything that I started in the house and babied died!!!! Hmmmm... I LOVE to tell I told you so!!

Lane's Birthday,a camping trip and Mother's day.

This is going to be a long post so sit back and relax. Oh and please forgive me once again with the pictures being a little backwards... you know the drill........So Mr. Lane turned 6 all I kept telling him for 2 days was how lucky he was for making it to 6..... if anyone knows him very well you get it.....Just like last year he wanted to go to Jumping Jacks and go for pizza to get his number pizza so off we went.

Lane wanted strawberry cupcakes. I wasn't too hip on making these but they were really good.

Oh and check out Sponge Bob, Lane loves Sponge Bob (ask Rich to sing the song for you) he knows it very well. A few years ago he was off with an injury and watched a little too much Sponge Bob......LOL LOL

And this year his toys were all about army stuff. I'm pretty disappointed,he used to say when he grows up he wanted to be a cowboy well now he wants to be an army guy. I was so looking forward to meeting all his cowboy friends in their Wranglers....hmmm maybe I still have time to convince to be a cowboy.....

Lane is chatting with my mom on the phone.She had all his presents delivered to the house and he was allowed to open one everyday for 3 days. (I wasn't allowed to do that when I was a kid)
he was calling her to say thank you and waiting not so patiently for Rich to open it.

About three weeks ago we went camping/hunting. Rich and Alan got turkey tags.So here are a few shots...

A few years ago Rich had a great idea to get Lisa a BB gun for her birthday (eye roll) well she "accidently"shot Alan in the leg hmmm

So for the last year or so Rich "accidently" forgot to pack the BB gun whenever we went camping or shooting.

Well, she got it back this trip and did much better. So he even let Ellie try shooting. (I know mom and Andy not a good idea......I was doing breakfast dishes and didn't know)

Well, she did fantastic... check out her shooting face.... LOL LOL

She is so going to hate me for these pictures,but I couldn't resist.




This is what I do most of the time we go camping.....I am addicted to word searches, I try not to do them too much because if I start a book I have to finish it and I get NOTHING done...LOL

And the reason for the whole camping trip.....................yup to get a turkey!!!! and that is exactly what Alan did!!!! We were leaving camp to get more gas for the generator (it was sooo cold) and Rich had told Alan to make sure he had his gun in the truck and when we were leaving camp about 20 feet Alan say a turkey and hopped out and shot his turkey in one shot! We were so proud of him! I am so glad I got to be there!!!

Poor Rich and Alan this is one morning when they were leaving, it was so stinking cold and snowing and raining we picked a really bad weekend to go.

Little Miss Ellie has really started to get into reading so she found a quite spot to relax and read.



This was another morning before the boys went hunting. Yup its snowing.....

here are the kids watching a movie and another reason we ran out of gas in the generator. It was so cold they couldn't go outside too much so every once in a while I threw in a movie.


This is what I got for Mother's Day. An I Pod Touch!! I had never even heard of one of these. But I really like it. At first I thought it was a phone and I wanted to scream but I am working on Rich to hopefully get one for my birthday!!!! It is going to take a lot of sweet talking for that though.....so wish me luck!! (wink)




School is almost out here so we need some vistors to come and stay with us (hint,hint)

Look what the kids have been up to...well me too...

Here is the Talent Show that we (Primary Presidency) put on. Our Primary President said we were going to (I had no chioice, LOL) perform in... HUH????

So, I said I would if I could cover myself/face. So this is what she came up with.... we were the Chinettes. We were chin singing to Baby Love by the Supremes. I have to say it was pretty funny and some of the children didn't get how were were doing this.. LOL
Sorry it is a bad picture I gave my camera to a friend and they couldn't figure my camera out. I didn't set it correctly for them...darn it!
The girls had a recital once again. This is Lisa's 4th and she did wonderful!! Sorry about this picture too, I don't know what I did.....

Oh, and this is Alan.................sleeping!!! SO RUDE!!!! LOL

And this is Ellie's first recital. She did so good too,she was really nervous but I knew she would do great!!!

Alan is back to playing baseball again. He took last year off and wanted to play again this year so now he is in the Majors with 2 games a week. If I had know he would have two games a week I don't know if I would have signed him up! Because Lane has T-Ball too. We are going to have some really busy weeks coming up and me getting sunburned. ohh I hate that!!!

So during the week

Alan has: baseball games twice a week with batting practice.

Lane has T-Ball game once a week with practice.

Ellie has horseback riding lessons.

Lisa and Ellie have piano lessons.

I have doctors appt. 3 times a week from my accident.

A little crazy huh? lol

See the way Alan is holding his mouth, he just got this huge spacer in his mouth that day and he makes so much noise with his mouth it drives me nuts!!! I can't wait till that thing comes out!!! In six months!!!

These are Easter day pictures. We had the best Easter we went to Vegas and really enjoyed the family it was fun for the kids to play with their cousins and of course look for eggs. I didn't think Alan would want to look for eggs this year,you know he is 12. But when he found out there was candy and McDonald gift certifates in some of the eggs he forgot how old he was.




And let me tell you there were so many eggs that the Easter bunny had to put them on the wall in trees in bushes even decorate Papa with some....

Ellie, well all the kids couldn't believe they got a solid chocolate bunny!! They said they new for sure that we weren't the Easter bunny!!! (wink)
