Alan's back & look what we did for spring break.

Well, the kids were out of school all last week so we had some fun. Alan and Rich were just dieing to go to the Beaver track and go riding so off we went......

Here is Lane doing a donut!!! It was so funny he kept going round and round!!! Kicking up dirt and rocks....

Here is Rich I was messing around with my camera and the settings, this was an awesome corner, I got some pictures with him blurry and the dirt kicked up it was fun. And he didn't mind going around and around.(thanks Rich)

Alan with his serious face (well, trying) (wink)when I was off taking pictures the girls found this jump.....................and did it over and over and over.........And then Lane just HAD to do it too.....

And he got a little air!!!! (wink)

Here are the" big boys" jumping............

Ellie earned this baby, so I had to take a couple of pictures....look at the two of them looking into each others eyes, He He, she was so happy and in love with her..

she sure is talented in the burping department, she is awaiting the arrival of another cousin and is trying to get in her practice. (again, sorry about the coloring, practice, practice!!! LOL)

So yesterday, Rich has been wanting to take the Rhino and the 4-wheeler on a trip together ALL of us,well, that is the only reason he wanted to get the Rhino (wink) so we ALL can ride together..hmmmm I think we have had that thing for two years and this is our first trip all 6 of us...hmmmmm

It was so much fun but dirty, just look at Ellie she rode all day on the back of the 4-wheeler with Rich every time we stopped Ellie had dirt in her teeth she ALWAYS has a smile, even riding with Rich because if any of you have ever ridden with Rich you would NOT be smiling!!! LOL

Yup, its not the color off in this picture, she is so dusty.....but as long as she was having fun huh??

Like my cowgirl look? I have to keep the sun off my face you know!!! LOL And man was it cold...

I have to brag just a second look at the back roll cage Rich built and ice chest holder thingy nice huh?? He's the best!!!

We took one more off-road adventure but I didn't think we were going to go to far so I don't have any pictures but it was an adventure!! Huh babe!!!

Alan had a great time in California he spent two day at Disneyland and a few other adventures we are so glad he is back!!

Ohh!!! If any of you know me that well ,you know that I have no patience and I like things yesterday LOL So check out my milk glass collection now

Nice pieces huh??? I have been a little busy with e-Bay.....oops!!! But......I got some great deals!!!

We're ALL missing Alan......

Well, Alan got to go to California with a neighbor's family on Wednesday and we all miss him.

Last night at dinner Lisa said our family wasn't complete because he wasn't here. She really misses him. It took me a second to realize she was so right!!! I was feeling a little down and I couldn't figure it out and that was it. He is such a great boy and helps out around here so much. His best-buddy (Lane) misses him a lot too. Oh and Ellie. So tomorrow night he gets back and I can't wait to hug him so hard!!! Rich and I have been talking about him and the way he is and how much people tell us what a good boy he is. It is so hard to believe he is going to be 12 in a few months. He has Rich's sence of humor and some of his dare-devil abilities. He is sensitive and wants to make people happy like me.
I am just hoping with the last few days that he is using all the manners we try to drill into him daily that he hates for us to remind him of!! LOL
Like always say thank you, don't ask for anything, and don't get too silly.
Oh and he just got his hunter safety license in the mail he is going to be so,so happy!!! Well and so will Papa,Uncle Andy and Rich!!!
I just can't wait for him to read this and be surprised that he was missed so much.
We LOVE you buddy!!!
Much Love.

OK, I'm back with a long post....

Well, we have been pretty busy so let me get started..................

Anyone that knows my husband knows how talented he is so check this out...........he still amazes me daily................

Yup, he built this awesome entertainment center for us. Rich didn't like the way he built the shelving unit when he finished the basement, it had been bothering him for a couple of years so this is what he came up with. I LOVE it and I expecially liked that I had a new area to decorate!!Notice the silhouettes, perfect place huh?

Rich raced in the Rhino Rally with his motorcycle weekend before last and placed 4th in his class!! The last time he raced I was pregnant with Alan 12 years ago,

Way to go punkin!!!

We took the kids riding on Saturday and I haven't been able to see Lane on his 4-wheeler or Ellie on her motorcycle, they were too happy to show me their "skills"...........

Lane tried riding Ellie's motorcycle but did a wheelie so................I think it is going to be a while before he gets back on it again!!! (wink)

What a sister Lisa is she helped get Lane out of a little rut, too cute huh? (she does like him, LOL)

I have always liked seeing two riders talk when they take a little break. I am assuming it is where to go next, where is the biggest jump who went the highest and so on, so when I saw Lisa and Alan having a little chat I had to take this picture

Alan doing a donut with Ellie's 50.........(eye roll) ;)

Alan with all his favorite things....motorcycle gear from riding his motorcycle and his gun what else does a 11 year old boy need.

I have to say I am so proud of the young man Alan is turning into, today a boy said a bad word to a friend of Lisa's and Alan told him that if he wants to talk like that he won't play with him. It makes me happy that Rich and I are doing something right, that Alan is making good choices and growing into such a great young man. I love ya buddy!!!

Ok this is so cute....... The kids wanted to race, Alan is on Ellie's little 50 (to make it fair.. again eye roll) and Ellie is on Lanes 4-wheeler ,see the smoke, revving(sp?) their motors!!!

Want to see who wins...................My GIRL!!!!! WhooooHooooooo I am not to sure it was fair but......she WON!!!!LOL
Here are a couple of Easter things I have done to the house

This is my deal of the year!!!! I bought this china hutch at a consignment/thrift store and I LOVE it!!! I was going to paint it white to match the furniture in the basement but..........I REALLY like it in the dining room with my milk glass. It needs a little TLC beacuse the last person who painted it did a terrible job but it is so cute!!!
So as you can tell we have been a little busy. All the kids are doing great and healthy. OH and I must say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY "mom. The kids sure miss you and would LOVE a visit.......Lane still wants to come to your birthday party and thinks we didn't get invited because we didn't go.........he needs a Grammie hug and kiss!!!! (well, they all do) and since I don't have a recent picture here is a old one.........so sorry, but I really like this picture, who wouldn't you have funnel cake!!!! LOLMuch love, Sherrie

Tawnee this is for YOU!!!

I have been asked a few times for the directions to my silhouettes that I did of my kids on my last post so I am going to try and explain ...................

1. I took close ups of my children from the side.
You can either have them developed or I just printed mine on the computer and they just happened to come out 8X10 wooo hoooo just what I wanted!!! (you ALL know if I use the computer and something turns out the way I wanted, it was TOTALLY an accident) LOL
2. I then took my handy Exacto (favorite tool) on a piece of glass and cut out(traced) their profile
3. On some of the directions I have people colored them with either paint or a Sharpie black but since I had a black frame already I kept mine white and just put them in my frame.

Now is that not EASY!!!
I can't believe how fast it was to cut out . It was done in no time. I love them and not one of my kids said anything about Lane's head being big but...........................Rich!!! LOL LOL
I still have not yet found a place for it. I really am thinking about putting each one in their own frame and matting it with white and coloring their silhouette black but for now I will keep it this way.
If anyone has any questions please e-mail me. I am hoping my explaination was OK............
Whenn it is up I blog a picture!!!

Look what I did!!

I just made these silhouettes!! I am so excited. I saw this on a site (check out one the sites to the right) I can't wait for the kids to get home to see it they are going to be so excited!!! I can bet you a hundred dollars they are ALL going to say Lane has a big head!!! Well honestly............. he does, because the last time I had him at the doctor the nurse had to measure his head twice because she though she did it wrong.
Now I have to find just the right place for it!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Well, we went to Vegas for Valentines Day for my sweet nephews first birthday. Ohh that face!!!!Sorry about the lighting in this picture I just got my new lense (Melissa 50mm 1.4!!!)and this is the second picture with it so I am still learning with this lense and all the setting on my camera (you will see as this post goes on....sorry :) ) This was the first picture.................look at THIS face........MY Valentine!!!!

This is the top of the piano...........not sure I like it but I just wanted to show off my Valentine "stuff" before i take it all down..........hmmm.......I Love Valentines day it will make me sad to take it down. The blocks that say I love you, I randomly, through out the year, put them in one of the kids rooms just so they remember "I love them" (hmmm, not sure about lighting in this one)

This is my VERY favorite piece of furniture in my living room. I like to change it and I mess with it all the time. Rich got me the digital frame for Christmas and I am not sure I like it there. The XL mirror in the back(craig list, my new fav.) used to be on the wall but I didn't like it there so I leaned it up against the wall and I like it , but not one person in the house does!! Oh well you know it will stay!! LOL LOL (see the Twilight series under the small clock) awww........Edward.........

This is my "new"favorite thing Milk Glass I love it my mom gave me the glasses and I have loved these. I am now collecting pieces.See the little fluted dish with the heart in it, that is my new piece!!!I picked it up yesterday in Cedar at a really cute antique shop.

And this CUTIE!!! I got there too!!! Don't you just LOVE him!!! Rich doesn't get it, but he had to go home with me!!! This is a niche by my entry I like to change not so often, this took me a while to do because I just couldn't find just the right thing but now I really like it . It looks so girlie!!

This is also by my entry I LOVE, LOVE this wall. One day on a off-road adventure there just happened to be a yard sale and I saw this frame (it is a large coffee table top) and I took it home and gave it a little TLC and some paint and I hang "stuff" in it!!

Right in front of the "love" sign is a pair of kissing angels. I made these at a Super Saturday a couple of years ago and I have such good memories of them. My mom used to have a pair of them her grand mother made and used to like to just stare at them so when I had the chance to make my own................Everyone is going to have to bear with me for a while, I am in a photography class and I am learning all over to use my camera and ALL the settings but as you can see, I better read over ALL my paper work better (LOL), I haven't put much effort into it but things are going to be a little slow this week so I am going to put a 110% into my class. (hopefully, LOL )

I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day with their Valentine.

Much Love, Sherrie

Another off-roading adventure

Rich has been wanting to go off-roading for a while now and with my new calling it has been a while since we have gone, but, I keep telling him that is why there are 2 days in the weekend!! LOL
We took the kids to a place out of Hurricane and went shooting and then to Kolob to shoot some more. The kids have a ball, I get to shoot pictures, Rich, Alan and Lisa get to actually shoot guns and Lane and Ellie find sticks and shoot whatever they find.

Here is one of Alan setting up the "shooting gallery"

Look at this one, the jacket HAD to come off for more accurate shooting!!I took a couple of shots of Rich I was just playing with angles and different modes on my camera I am in this AWESOME class by Karen Russell for photgraphy!!! I just need to complete my assignments........I LOVE this one of the three of them!!!Lisa is a really good shot, I am so proud of her!!!

AHHH my guys!!!! Alan is starting hunter safety in a couple of weeks so let me tell you he has some BIG plans (well, so does his dad) He He
Little Miss Ellie found this old lawn mower and she was just checking it out........... hmm just like her dad...........This place we stopped had a ton of clay pigeons that had not been shot so Rich and Alan just had to shoot them..........OOPs no dumping I think a few people didn't read the sign.............we found a couple of little treasures...........This is on the way out of Hurricane it was really close to Grafton, nice scenery........
OK, Rich wanted a picture of these deer ............

I saw this bridge and thought it would be a perfect photo opportunity but it needs photoshop bad!! LOL I was thinking black and whiteThis stream was the end of our day in Kolob, I really like streams if you keep track of my blog.Well, our family had one more outing to report in Utah. We LOVE to check out the area whenever we get a chance. There are so many nice places around here. If anyone wants to come with us we have quite a few places to share.(Oh, and a guest room) (wink)

I hope everyone is well

Much Love, Sherrie
